The Auxiliary of Jackson Township Fire Co.

In 1953, the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary was started. The Auxiliary is an integral part of the Fire Company and its role is to support the Fire Company. They do this by raising money through various activities such as:
Weekly Bingo
Craft Fair
Easter Egg Hunt
Summer BBQ
Spaghetti Dinner/
Movie Night
Open House
Santa Pictures
The Auxiliary also contributes to charitable causes. For example, they host two blood drives a year.
The Auxiliary is a non-profit organization which depends on volunteers. Membership is open to anyone 14 years and older. You do not need to be related to a firefighter to join. Meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 7:30 PM at the Firehall in Reeders. Please stop in to join!

The Fire Company provides many different services. In addition to fire rescue, search and rescue, response to vehicle accidents and traffic control, they also help with medical assists, fire prevention and education, disaster relief services, assisting other area fire companies and community services including an annual open house during October, Fire Prevention Month. |

Below are pictures of a house fire that occured on February 22nd, 2008 in Jackson Township. The fire was attended by Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company, Pocono Township Volunteer Fire Company, Inc., Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder Fire Company and West End Fire Co. The Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary brought beverages, cakes and pastries, and a hot lunch to the scene for the firefighters and others who volunteered.

As a homeowner, landowner, resident or business it is very important to support your local volunteer fire company by donating annually, attending events held by the fire company or volunteering your time so they can continue to provide services to you.
